How do I place an order?
You may place an order three ways: (1) on our secure website www.BethelBakery.com, (2) in our retail store or (3) call us and speak with one of our sales associates.

What cake options are available with online ordering?
We offer many of our most popular cake decorations for online ordering.  You can customize your cake by choosing from a variety of cake flavors and fillings.  All of our cakes available online are iced with our famous french buttercream.

Can I order a cake online with chocolate icing?
Many of our decorations are not compatible with chocolate icing.  They just don't look nice and do not meet our quality standard of providing you a show piece cake. To ensure that you are pleased with the the look of your cake, we only offer cakes iced with french buttercream for online ordering. If you are interested in customizing your cake with chocolate icing, please call us to place your order and to inquire about decoration choices.

What if I need a cake today?
We maintain a supply of standard decorated and undecorated cakes in the store that can have an inscription added.  Call or stop in to check on availability.
Some standard batter/decorated cakes may be ordered for same day pick up.

What is included in the price of a decorated cake?
Along with your inscription, we offer standard decorations such as: Roses, Balloons, Black and Gold Balloons, Fondant  Polka Dots & Swirls, Football Field, and Pittsburgh Penguins. We also offer beautiful seasonal and holiday standard decorations. These designs can be viewed on our website at www.BethelBakery.com.

Where can I see your decorations?
Our website www.BethelBakery.com is a great resource.

What if I want a tiered cake with more than 35 servings?
All tiered cakes with 35 servings or more must be ordered through our wedding department.  They can be reached at 412-835-6658 Ex. 4 or wedding@BethelBakery.com.

    What if I want a certain TV show, movie, comic or other copyrighted character on my cake that is not on BethelBakery.com?

Bethel Bakery upholds to all copyright regulations.  We have legal access to a larger variety of figurines and edible images but we cannot draw or recreate characters or their likeness on our baked goods.  If your character is not online please call in for possible availability.

Can I get a picture on my cake, cookies or cupcakes?
Yes.  Send in your picture to info@BethelBakery.com or bring in a hard copy, wallet size or larger, to be scanned in and returned with your order.
If emailing, please make sure your picture is in JPEG or GIF format.
Please note that the size of the edible image on a cake is determined by the space available with decoration.  Largest size of edible image is 7*x10*.

What is half and half?
Half chocolate and half yellow batter.
A round layer cakes are one layer of chocolate with one layer of yellow on top.
A sheet cake has the batters side by side.
3/4 sheet cake half and half is two quarters yellow and one quarter chocolate

 

Can I get a filling in a sheet cake?
Yes, we will split the sheet cake and fill with your choice of one of our delicious fillings for an additional charge.

Should I refrigerate my cake?
If your cake is iced or filled with chocolate fudge, whip cream, cream cheese or a fruit filling, we recommend refrigerating your cake.
If your celebration is more than two days off or if it is hot and humid, we recommend refrigerating your cake.

Can I get an inscription on a dessert cake?
Certainly! If your favorite is Chocolate Mousse, Victorian Torte, Chocolate Cascade Cake or any other delicious dessert cakes, we can add an inscription for an additional charge.

Does Bethel Bakery sell candles and cards?
Yes.  We sell a large variety of candles and cards from contemporary to traditional.

Can I place an order for pickup at the McMurray Dairy Bar in Peters Township?
Yes.  Orders for decorated cakes, no cut cakes, cookie cakes and itty bitty cakes need to be placed through Bethel Bakery 48 hours in advance and prepaid for pick up at the Dairy Bar.
All other orders for cookies, dessert cakes, etc. should be placed with the McMurray Dairy Bar at 724-941-8250.

DISCLAIMER:
Our cakes are hand decorated may vary slightly from sample pictures depending on the personal technique of the Cake Decorator that customizes your cake.  Decoration may also vary from the size and shape of your cake.
Dark colors of icing such as red, black, royal or navy blue, etc. may temporarily stain your mouth and could permanently stain clothes, carpeting and furniture.  Dark icing may also have a bitter taste due to the amount of dye used to make the vivid color.
